The main aim of the Mazovia Regional Development Agency is to support socio-economic development of the region. In doing so, their activities are focused on small and medium sized enterprises as well as local authorities. Strengthening the innovative capacity and competitiveness is paramount and supported by continuous networking. Potential investors are to be made aware of the Mazovia region and will benefit from the services of the agency. These services include among other things the transfer of knowledge about the EU funds and action programs as well as the participation in European projects.
Hajdú-Bihar is one of 19 administrative districts (counties) of Hungary and is situated in the eastern part of the country. With approximately 205.000 inhabitants, Debrecen is the county's capital. Hajdú-Bihar covers an area of approximately 6.200 square kilometers, which is slightly more than twice the size of Saarland. The primary partner for the EU Service-Agency is the Hajdu-Bihar County Government (HBCG). Efforts in the Hajdú-Bihar region are focussed on strenghtening competitiveness through targeted support of innovative SMEs. This goal is achieved in particular by making use of funds from the European Structural and Investment Fund. The HBCG pursues an active settlement policy to strengthen its industry and is also heavily involved in the promotion and development of the region's tourism infrastructure as well as the support for renewable energy. Moreover, Hajdú-Bihar encourages a target-oriented internationalization process through the development of sustainable (regional) partnerships, in particular through the active participation in projects such as INTERREG Central Europe and other EU action programs.
